Review: Miss Alice Makes (Etsy)
Disclaimer: I was provided with free products in return for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions expressed herein are purely my own.
Recently, I received some gorgeous items from Miss Alice Makes, an Etsy shop owner who makes handmade Disney-inspired items, such as coasters, plaques, signs and reworked denim jackets. I was lucky enough to receive a coaster, plaque and sign, all personalised to include my favourite Disney movies and characters, aka. Merida, Tinkerbell, Alice In Wonderland and Toy Story.
I can't praise Brittany from Miss Alice Makes enough for her exceptional customer service. It can be quite strange, as a blogger, when people offer you products, but Brittany put me at ease and made the conversations feel like we had been friends for a long time, through simple means, such as asking me about my day and having a legitimate interest in how my summer was going.
It took about 3 weeks, from our first conversation, until I received the items. I think this is relatively quick, considering Brittany makes all the orders by hand and each one is personalised to the customer's requests.
When the postman came with the parcel, I was so excited! It's obvious Miss Alice Makes cares about and values their customers, as this was evident through the extra details such as the Hidden Mickey on the envelope and the Disney stickers adorning the wrapping of the individual parcels inside.
The first parcel I opened contained the sign (middle in the picture below), which is roughly A4 size.
It appears to be made of cardboard covered with coloured paper, which has then been laminated. The sign displays many of my favourite Disney characters, which Brittany asked for during the process of making the products It also displays my channel/blog name (applepip).
Next was the plaque, which is on the left-hand side of the photo above. Unfortunately the photo is a bit over-exposed, however, it's the only one, out of the many that I took, which would load properly on my blog, for some reason! The plaque, which is about A6 size, has a gorgeous still from the animated Alice in Wonderland movie and is attached to blue ribbon so that it can be hung up wherever you please. Personally, I have hung mine on my door handle, where it matches the Alice in Wonderland washi tape (bought from the Disney Store) that I have used to spell out my name!
Last, but definitely not least, is the coaster. I think this is probably my favourite out of the three items. It's similar in design to the sign, as it is covered with my favourite Disney characters, however, the material of the coaster is more sturdy than that of the sign. The coaster itself is made of cork board or similar, which is backed in pink paper. The pink paper is covered in the characters, then the item has been laminated.
I think that's about it for today's review... apart from one important thing! I would like to say a massive thank you to Miss Alice Makes for sending me these beautiful items. I love them, and would definitely be looking to order again from you in the future.
